Imtiaz Rangwala is a Senior Research Scientist at CIRES and Lead Climate Scientist at the North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on understanding the impacts of climate change on water resources, climate extremes, and ecosystems. Imtiaz has extensive experience working with resource managers across the Intermountain West and Great Plains to translate climate science into practical applications. His work includes understanding and integrating uncertainty in future climate and ecological change and develop climate data, tools, and decision-support resources to inform natural resource management and climate adaptation. He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from Rutgers University.
